Yahweh Cares for All His Children, Not Just Those Visible “On Stage”

Sometimes we may feel like we are not making enough impact for the LORD. Perhaps we may feel like we are not important enough or successful enough in how we live for Him. Maybe we think that perhaps we are not as important as the “stars” we see publicly, such as pastors or missionaries or musical artists.

We can clearly see the Biblical record gives us great insight to those who were in the spotlight, such as David, Solomon, Saul, Samuel, Paul, and others.  Clearly they were important to the LORD to include their history. But have you ever considered while reading the genealogies that all of these families are obviously important to our Father? Else, why would He list them all down? There is a careful record of so many families in each tribe of God’s people.

I suppose what I conclude from that, and from other scriptures throughout the Bible, is that all of God’s people are important to Him. Some of us may work more in the background and some on stage for all to see, but that does not necessarily mean He does not care for each of us.  Remember also that those who are “on stage” typically need the support of many who work in the background.

In whatever situation He has placed you, or in which you have landed, look for ways to honor and serve Him, to seek a growing personal relationship with Him.

And they also lived with their relatives in Jerusalem opposite their other relatives.

Genealogy from King Saul

33Ner became the father of Kish, and Kish became the father of Saul, and Saul became the father of Jonathan, Malchi-shua, Abinadab and Eshbaal. 34The son of Jonathan was Merib-baal, and Merib-baal became the father of Micah. 35The sons of Micah were Pithon, Melech, Tarea and Ahaz. 36Ahaz became the father of Jehoaddah, and Jehoaddah became the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth and Zimri; and Zimri became the father of Moza. 37Moza became the father of Binea; Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son. 38Azel had six sons, and these were their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel. 39The sons of Eshek his brother were Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second and Eliphelet the third. 40The sons of Ulam were mighty men of valor, archers, and had many sons and grandsons, 150 of them. All these were of the sons of Benjamin.

I invite you to pray with me:

Father, thank You for choosing me to know You. Please help me to really understand that You care for me, even if I am not “on stage” doing mighty works in Your name. Help me to joyfully serve You in whatever capacity and whatever place You desire for me. Help me to know You love me. Amen.

 Shalom
