How often do you praise the Lord? Not for something specific He has done for you, but just for who He is and what He has done for others? As I reflect on that personally, I find that the answer for me is, “not often enough”. I am thankful that His word reminds me! Praise the Lord indeed! He is mighty and filled with glory. Let His name be praised throughout the Earth. He does not help those who help Him, He does not need our help. He helps those who submit to and follow Him, who cry out to Him. We can give Him nothing in return. Praise the Lord almighty!
The LORD Exalts the Humble.
1Praise the LORD!
Praise, O servants of the LORD,
Praise the name of the LORD.
2Blessed be the name of the LORD
From this time forth and forever.
3From the rising of the sun to its setting
The name of the LORD is to be praised.
4The LORD is high above all nations;
His glory is above the heavens.
5Who is like the LORD our God,
Who is enthroned on high,
6Who humbles Himself to behold
The things that are in heaven and in the earth?
7He raises the poor from the dust
And lifts the needy from the ash heap,
8To make them sit with princes,
With the princes of His people.
9He makes the barren woman abide in the house
As a joyful mother of children.
Praise the LORD!
