YHWH does not need our money, He desires our heart. He does not measure as men do, counting the dollar totals, but looks at our desire to submit to and please Him… our love for Him and for others.
The Widow’s Gift
1And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury. 2And He saw a poor widow putting in two small copper coins. 3And He said, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all of them; 4for they all out of their surplus put into the offering; but she out of her poverty put in all that she had to live on.”
Reading Luke 21 is a good time to reflect on how we use our money for His kingdom… or how we are not doing so. Do we give a bit from our extra or do we really submit to Him with all that we have and trust in Him?
