Rock the Boat For Righteousness

Yeshua was a disruptor to the accepted norms dictated by the religious establishment. He was not concerned with “getting along” with those who were teaching falsely. He did not “blend in”. He did not accept the status quo. He knew what was right and He was willing to “rock the boat” to bring attention to the desires and instructions of YHWH. He was more concerned with being righteous and obedient than with being spoken of kindly in the “press” or public forum by those who reject YHWH’s instruction.

Too often we are taught to avoid making a fuss or offending anyone. We are to tolerate everyone and everything… except outspoken followers of Christ who live their lives choosing Him over culture’s norms… such as in regards to abortion, homosexuality, even gluttony… and many more such considerations. YHWH, and thus Yeshua, are not tolerant and accepting of people who reject them and their ways in favor of following the ways of men. It makes Him angry.

Luke 19:45-48

Traders Driven from the Temple

45Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling, 46saying to them, “It is written, ‘AND MY HOUSE SHALL BE A HOUSE OF PRAYER,’ but you have made it a ROBBERSDEN.”

47And He was teaching daily in the temple; but the chief priests and the scribes and the leading men among the people were trying to destroy Him, 48and they could not find anything that they might do, for all the people were hanging on to every word He said.

What approach will you take… “rock the boat for righteousness” or avoid risking offending anyone and blend in with the depravity and false teaching of our culture?
